The House passed several bills this week that caught the attention of the April 20 State Capitol Report, including one that would eliminate the need for real estate brokerages to obtain separate licenses for branch offices and another that would allow local residents to choose to receive electronic notification of public notices from local government entities.

Both chambers of the Illinois General Assembly conducted numerous committee hearings and saw extensive floor action as the date for final passage of 2018 bills in the chamber of origin — April 27 — drew closer.
