Benedictine University in Lisle has named its business school after Illinois REALTOR® Dan Goodwin.

Goodwin, chairman and CEO of Oak Brook-based The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies Inc., serves as vice chair of the university’s board of trustees.

In 2015, the university named a new building the Daniel L. Goodwin Hall of Business. The 125,000-square-foot building features an auditorium and a trading lab. The school has an enrollment of nearly 2,000 students, according to a 2015 article.

Benedictine plans to formally dedicate the school on Friday. Goodwin has been a university trustee since 1991.

Inland is one of the nation’s largest commercial real estate and finance companies, and employs more than 1,000 people. It has holdings in 49 states, according to the company’s website.

A REALTOR® since 1988, Goodwin was a 2015 recipient of the National Association of REALTORS’s Good Neighbor Award for his work with affordable housing.
