The Champaign County Association of REALTORS® (CCAR) donated 228 new blankets through its Bundles of Warmth program to nine area charities and nonprofit organizations, including seven in Champaign and one in Urbana.
The Champaign organizations are: Restoration Ministry, Salt and Light, Times Center, Circle of Friends, Family Services, Courage Connection and CU@Home. The Urbana organization is the Crisis Nursery. One charity did not want to be identified.
The project is organized by the CCAR Member Services Involvement Committee, which solicited donations, ordered blankets and delivered blankets to the charities. The committee consists of: Erica Bales, Dionne Clifton, Beth Culkeen, Diane Dawson, Susan Hornsby, Katie Kemen, Kyle Koester, Shay Moore, Yvonne Sjoken, P.J. Trautman, Judy Vasey, Denise Zindars.
Officers for CCAR are: Jim Waller, President (Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell, Champaign); Max McComb, President Elect (RE/MAX Realty Associates, Champaign), Eric Porter, Secretary/Treasurer (RE/MAX Realty Associates, Champaign) and Stefanie Pratt, Immediate Past President (Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell, Champaign). Linda Green is the Association Executive.
