The 606 Brokers of Chicago showed its community spirit by collecting and delivering toys in December for 300 local children between ages 2 and 16.

“My partners and I thought hard this year to see what we could do to give back, especially now more than ever,” said 606 Brokers co-founder and broker Antonio Sarmiento. “We decided a toy drive for kids would be perfect. This is the first time we have done a project like this and the support has been great! Even REALTORS® from other offices have helped us. We plan to build on this every year and continue to supply toys for underprivileged kids and struggling families.”

During the first week of December, the brokerage delivered toys to children in need by working with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). The week before Christmas, the brokerage partnered with Station 68 of the Chicago Fire Department to help children at the West Park Academy of the Chicago Public School system. Overall, the two projects drew 32 participants within the brokerage and accounted for about $7,000 worth of toys, Sarmiento said.
