Illinois REALTORS® CEO Jeff Baker appeared on WTTW-TV’s “Chicago Tonight” program Thursday to talk about why more people have chosen to become REALTORS® in today’s market and other recent real estate trends. The segment, “Why the Real Estate Industry Has Seen an Increase in New Agents,” looked at the recent influx of people becoming real estate professionals.
During the pandemic, the real estate industry remained open for business and that appealed to people who already might have been thinking about beginning a career in real estate. It is also a career path that allows people to control and drive their own success, Baker said.
“I think that real estate, the industry in particular, speaks to the entrepreneurial spirit, speaks to the motivated, speaks to those who are ambitious,” he said.
