Today at Fall Business Meetings in Naperville, members were involved in committee activities and forums related to Illinois REALTORS® policies and programs, political involvement and ethics and arbitration.
In the morning, a Policy & Programs Round Table provided an opportunity for members to give feedback to leadership, and the NAR Directors and Professional Standards Committee members held meetings.
A Recognition Luncheon was held to honor 2021 President Sue Miller and 2020 REALTOR® of the Year Doug Carpenter and celebrate their accomplishments.
Meanwhile, the 2021 Leadership Development class attended a day-long training session that included spokesperson media training and interview techniques.
In the afternoon, the REALTORS® Political Involvement Forum brought together State Legislative Contacts Jeff Kolbus and Moses Hall and Federal Political Coordinators Ayn Bartok and Erika Villegas to share their experiences supporting Illinois REALTORS® advocacy efforts.
An Ethics and Arbitration mock hearing gave members an up-close look at how this method may be used to resolve a dispute between a member and a consumer or between a member and another member.
Tonight, at the Inaugural Gala and REEF Benefit, 2022 Illinois REALTORS® President Ezekiel “Zeke Morris will be installed, along with 2022 President-elect Michael Gobber and 2022 Treasurer Matt Silver and the incoming 2022 committee members.
