In December, the Greater Gateway Association of REALTORS® (GGAR) made donations to eight area food pantries and the Boys & Girls Clubs in Bethalto and Alton.
At their Christmas Charity Celebration, GGAR members collected toys for families served by the: Community Care Center (Granite City), Ministries Unlimited (Troy), Oasis Women’s Center (Alton), THANKS (Edwardsville), Staunton Lions Club (Staunton), Collinsville Food Pantry (Collinsville), Crisis Food Center (Alton) and Riverbend Family Ministries (Wood River). Co-chairs of the event were: Debbie Conreaux of First American Title and Laurie Moore of RE/MAX Alliance in Edwardsville. GGAR members also discovered that an anonymous foundation matched the association’s cash donation to two of the pantries.
Also, a few weeks earlier, the GGAR Community Involvement Committee held a fundraising event at the Collinsville VFW to benefit the Alton Boys & Girls Club and the Bethalto Boys & Girls Club. Greater Gateway REALTORS®, affiliate business partners, family and friends attended mouse races and raised $3,000 in the process.
Officers for GGAR are: President Sandy Michel Stempinski (Heart & Home Realty in Vandalia), President-Elect Mark Massey (Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Elite Properties in Edwardsville) and Vice President Laurie Moore. Rob Wigton is the association executive.
