The vast majority of Americans surveyed as part of the National Association of REALTORS® Housing Pulse Survey said they felt buying a home was a good financial decision, and most people thought they could sell their home for at least the purchase price.
NAR conducts the research for the Housing Pulse Survey, which gauges consumer sentiment on the state of the housing market.
This year’s edition found:
- Sixty-eight percent of those surveyed said now is a good time to buy a home.
- The number of renters expressing interest in owning a home increased.
- Eighty-nine percent of respondents said they think real estate sales will continue to increase.
