The vast majority of Americans surveyed as part of the National Association of REALTORS® Housing Pulse Survey said they felt buying a home was a good financial decision, and most people thought they could sell their home for at least the purchase price.

Snip20151016_4NAR conducts the research for the Housing Pulse Survey, which gauges consumer sentiment on the state of the housing market.

This year’s edition found:

  • Sixty-eight percent of those surveyed said now is a good time to buy a home.
  • The number of renters expressing interest in owning a home increased.
  • Eighty-nine percent of respondents said they think real estate sales will continue to increase.
