IAR is asking for a team of ambassadors to help take the message of RPAC to the association’s 41,000 members.
At the December board meeting at IAR’s headquarters in Springfield, IAR president Phil Chiles unveiled a program called 1,000 Points of Light.
The program seeks to recruit 1,000 IAR members who will recruit 10 Fair Share givers who will donate $20 to RPAC, the REALTORS® Political Action Committee.
IAR raised more than $930,000 for RPAC in 2013. The fund is used to promote private property rights and protect REALTOR® business interests.
The association has pledge cards and an acceptance letter on the 1,000 Points of Light webpage. The deadline to sign up to be an ambassador is March 31, 2014, and full details on the program’s requirements are here.
Anyone with questions on the program can call IAR RPAC fundraising coordinators Kim Buscher ([email protected]) and Carie Cycholl ([email protected]) at 217-529-2600.
