More than 100 REALTORS® gathered in Oak Brook, Ill., to hear about strategies for doing business with clients from South Africa and the Caribbean.

Jim Kinney, treasurer of the Illinois Association of REALTORS®, opened the session, which was April 26, 2013, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Oak Brook.

Among speakers were:

• Maria Davies, a REALTOR® doing business in Grenada.

• Christine Klein, a REALTOR® with business in Illinois and Jamaica.

• Ahmed Badat, a REALTOR® with experience in doing business with South Africa.

• Donnadelliah Maluleke, Consul Economic South African Consulate-General, Chicago.

Keynoting the event were Mary Carmen R. Madrid-Crost, a lawyer specializing in immigration law, and Julius L. Cartwright, president/CEO for the National Association of Real Estate Brokers.
