Effective today, Friday, May 14, Illinois moves into the Bridge Phase, updating the state’s COVID-19 mitigations. The Bridge Phase allows for higher capacity limits and increased business operations.
- Under the Bridge Phase, the guidance for showings and open houses will remain the same. Sellers may impose some additional mitigation requirements, i.e. masks and distancing, and as long as these are applied consistently they should be followed by brokers and their clients.
- Capacity for offices moves to 60 percent and the lesser of 1,000 people or 60 percent capacity for conventions, conferences and meetings.
- Capacity for outdoor events under the Bridge Phase will move to 30 people per 1,000 square feet, up from 15 per 1,000 square feet.
