The IAR Licensing & Training Center offered a one-day Instructor Development Workshop today in Springfield and two local associations (via videoconference). The Illinois Association of REALTORS® (IAR) workshop was an opportunity for Illinois continuing education and pre-license instructors to learn the latest legal issues, training techniques and industry issues.
Presenters included: Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Real Estate Coordinator Jill Johnson, IAR Instructor Lynn Madison and IAR Hotline Attorney Betsy Urbance.
Today’s workshop topics included:
- Common mistakes and misconceptions Brokers and Managing Brokers have about the real estate business
- “Heard it in the Classroom” instructor training techniques
- Top ten issues from the IAR Legal Hotline
- Top enforcement issues and examiner findings from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
