Alan Lowe, director of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, with Doug Carpenter, Illinois REALTORS® president. The association sponsored a reception for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016.

Illinois REALTORS® was a sponsor for a pair of receptions held for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

The events, held in Chicago and Springfield, offered Illinois REALTORS® members a chance to meet agency officials, and state representatives who lead trade offices across the globe.

At the Springfield event, Illinois REALTORS® President Doug Carpenter reminded those attending of the role real estate plays in the state’s economy.

It goes without saying, as the state succeeds, so do our more than 44,000 members,” Carpenter said.

Illinois REALTORS® has worked with IDCEO on the association’s efforts at the MIPIM conference in France, one of the largest real estate conferences in the world. The association will be participating in the event for the third year in March, part of an ongoing commitment to educate and prepare members for the international marketplace.

“Illinois REALTORS® strongly believes in making sure our members have the best training and support possible to carry on the mission of marketing the state to an international audience,” Carpenter told the crowd.
