Earlier this week, the Kankakee-Iroquois-Ford Association of REALTORS® (KIFAR) eclipsed last year’s holiday charity fundraising total by about $500 at its annual Christmas Party/Charity Auction, collecting $4,280.
The donations will be equally distributed to five organizations: the Salvation Army Food Pantry in Kankakee, Harbor House in Kankakee, Harbor House in Watseka, Hospice in Kankakee and Iroquois Memorial Hospice in Watseka, says KIFAR Association Executive Connie Legris.
The Christmas Party/Charity Auction drew 136 REALTORS®, affiliates and spouses to the Kankakee Country Club.
“Our members and guests look forward to this auction every years as it is the perfect time to reach out and give help to the community,” says Legris.
The 2016 officers are: President Christine Wilbur (Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Bradley), President-Elect Don St. Germaine, Jr. (American Universal Realty in Bonfield), Treasurer Leanne Provost (McColly Bennett Real Estate in Bourbonnais) and Secretary Linda Krause (Speckman Realty Real Living in Bourbonnais).
