The best ways to engage participants, preserve confidentiality, plan strategically and conduct training through virtual meetings was the topic of the Illinois REALTORS® Virtual Leadership Workshop Thursday.

Association executives, presidents and presidents-elect from local REALTOR® associations across the state took part in the online session led by trainers Adorna Carroll, Bruce Aydt and Rick Harris. The lessons applied to a variety of topics, including: board of directors, volunteer involvement, member/staff interaction, strategic planning and committees.

Trainers talked about the long-term effects that the COVID-19 pandemic will have on association gatherings, tips for avoiding technical difficulties and the merits of conducting all-virtual, in-person or hybrid meetings.

Trainers demonstrated how participants could most effectively answer questions as they came up during the workshop.
