According to the National Association of REALTORS® 2016 Member Safety Report, 45 percent of females acknowledged using a safety app on their smartphone or an office safety notification procedure compared to 35 percent of males. Many members listed notifying a friend, a spouse or another family member of their location as a safeguard before showing a home. See the report.
