The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) continues to lobby against a provision in a bill that would increase fees on Veterans Affairs home loans.

Although NAR supports the VA home loan guarantee program and several benefits of the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act of 2018, NAR President Elizabeth Mendenhall sent a letter to the Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs expressing her concern. She urged that the VA loan guarantee fees “be based on the risk of the loan made, and not the costs of other VA programs or benefits.”

The bill is also known as House Resolution 299.
