17_oct_weigel-tuminelloThe Illinois REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) Trustees urge you to vote for incumbents Tom Weigel and Ray Tuminello for District 12 of the Will County Board on Nov. 8.

Weigel and Tuminello have been identified by their local associations and by RPAC as REALTOR® champions. In other words, they are for business, private property rights, low taxes and economic growth. Their bids to get elected are termed Opportunity Races.

Weigel was first elected to the Will County Board in 2004. Prior to that, he was elected as a New Lenox village trustee for 17 years. He has also volunteered for the Will County 911 Emergency Telephone System Board and the Will County Local Emergency Planning Committee. He is retired from the EJ&E Railway Company, where he worked as an environmental engineer.

Weigel has served on several committees for the Will County Board. His current assignments are:

  • Chair of the Land Use & Development Committee;
  • Vice Chair of the Public Works & Transportation Committee; and
  • the Executive Committee.

Tuminello

The New Lenox resident served two years on the village planning commission before running for village trustee in 2005. He won his first election, then was reelected in 2009 and 2013.

As a Will County Board Member, he was chair or co-chair of four committees: Land Use; Public Safety; Streets and Drainage; and Sewer and Water. Currently he is on the following committees:

  • Capital Improvements;
  • Finance;
  • Land Use & Development; and
  • Legislative & Pay.

Tuminello has more than 25 years of experience in the window and door industry. He is the owner of Quality Glass Block and Window of Morris, Ill.
