Well-known commentator and political scientist Paul Green died Saturday. He was 73.

Green was the keynote speaker a number of times at Illinois REALTORS® Public Policy meetings in Peoria. His talks analyzed the latest political news, weaving in humor and a deep knowledge of the state’s political system from Chicago ward politics to the Capitol in Springfield.

Green was director of the Institute for Politics and the Arthur Rubloff professor of policy studies at Roosevelt University.
