REALTOR® associations are mobilizing to help victims of a series of tornadoes which swept through the state Sunday.
Particularly hard hit were communities in or around Peoria, Champaign, Washington County and in Massac County in far southern Illinois.
- The Peoria Association of REALTORS® has set up a fund to help those affected in their community. The site can be found here.
- Capital Area Association of REALTORS® has mobilized as well, asking for assistance for those affected by the storm. Information on that association’s effort can be found here.
- The Egyptian Board of REALTORS® board has already directed use of its Good Works Fund to assist with storm recovery. The association is also in the process of formulating the next steps it will take to help communities in its area.
- The Champaign County Association of REALTORS® is assessing damage reports in its area and will be formulating a response shortly.
As with all natural disasters, REALTORS® pull together to help their own communities and others. IAR will update this list as more information becomes available today. Know of an effort to help? Email [email protected].
