The REALTOR® Association of the Fox Valley (RAFV) is collecting monetary donations as well as Target and Kohl’s gift cards so that clothes and toys can be purchased for area homeless school children through the Renaissance Foundation in St. Charles.
Through the RAFV’s Community Outreach Holiday Initiative, gift cards can be dropped off at the RAFV office, 433 Williamsburg Ave., in Geneva. Money can be donated online at renaissance-foundation.org/gift/.
At 9 a.m. Dec. 11, the RAFV YPN Advisory Council will meet at the Arcedium Coffeehouse in St. Charles for coffee, peppermint mocha and breakfast. The $10 registration fees will be donated to the Renaissance Foundation as well.
The foundation and the RAFV Community Outreach Committee work with the Kane County Education Equal Chance Program to purchase the winter clothing and holiday gifts.
In 2014, RAFV’s donations helped 168 homeless students and children.
Fox Valley officers include: President Barbara Schori of Elgin, President-Elect Betty Ebert-Rylko of Hampshire, Treasurer Mark Coleman of St. Charles, Secretary Michael Simpson, Immediate Past-President Bobbie Gerbrecht-Grayson of St. Charles and Association Executive Chris Studebaker.
