Gov. Bruce Rauner re-appointed one Illinois REALTOR® and appointed another to the Real Estate Administration and Disciplinary Board, according to a release.
- Chris Read, ABR, CRB, CRS, GRI, SRES, is managing broker/owner of CR REALTOR® and CEO of CR Strategies in Woodridge was re-appointed to another term on the panel. She is 2016 Illinois REALTOR® of the Year. Read has chaired the state association’s Professional Standards Committee and the Senior Housing Working Group. A licensed real estate instructor, she has taught numerous classes for Illinois REALTORS®.
- Norm Willoughby, CEO of the Decatur Association of REALTORS® and Central Illinois Board of REALTORS®, was named to the panel. Willoughby is a licensed real estate instructor, managing broker and auctioneer. From 1995-2003 he was assistant commissioner for the state’s Real Estate Professions Bureau, Office of Banks and Real Estate. Willoughby often teaches classes for Illinois REALTORS®.
The Real Estate Administration and Advisory Board (READ) reviews disciplinary cases involving real estate licensees, and can recommend penalties which may include fines, suspensions and license revocations based on findings.
Others serving on the panel include Illinois REALTORS® Michael Oldenettel, Judy Higgins Stowe and Carol Strader.
Also appointed Friday to the board by Rauner were Chicago commercial real estate brokers Dennis Hiffman and Meredith O’Connor.
