Six people were honored for service to the Illinois Association of REALTORS® on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015, at a meeting of the Board of Directors.
The Presidential Medallions were handed out by outgoing IAR President Jim Kinney at the meeting held at the Hilton Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center.
Those honored were:
Ed Neaves: Neaves, managing broker at Prudential Snyder Real Estate, was honored for working to advance training for local associations on boosting advocacy. Under Neaves’ leadership, a day-long workshop was held at the association’s headquarters in Springfield to help local associations set goals for the year ahead.
Chris Read: Chris Read, owner of CR Strategies, chaired the Senior Housing Working Group which was established by IAR 2015 President Jim Kinney. The working group came up with a package of recommendations to help municipalities and members better address the needs of an aging population.
Vicky Turner: Turner, with United Country Burke Realty, chairs the Illinois Bicentennial Task Force, which is coming up with recommendations to celebrate the state’s historic anniversary.
Dan Wagner and Mabel Guzman: Wagner, senior vice president for government relations at Inland Real Estate Group, and Guzman, a broker at @Properties, were responsible for spearheading the Fall Conference and Inaugural Gala in 2014 as Kinney took over.
Bob Eby: Eby, with Century 21 Affiliated, played a key role in helping Kinney prepare for the presidency.
