Starting today, registered voters in Illinois can apply for 2020 general primary vote-by-mail ballots, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections website.

Mailing and delivery of ballots won’t begin until Feb. 6, 2020, which is the first day for early voting ballots can be accepted by the local election authorities for the 2020 general primary.

The general primary is scheduled for March 17 in Illinois. Polls will open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
