Rentschler joins Illinois REALTORS® after serving as the chief legal counsel for the Illinois State Police for more than four years. In that position, he assisted and advised the State Police on numerous pieces of high-profile legislation. Prior to working for the State Police, he served as in-house corporate counsel for a farm and home retail company with more than 100 stores in the U.S.

Rentschler is Rochester, Ill., native, and a graduate of Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Loyola University Chicago, and a juris doctor from Southern Illinois University. He is an avid sports fan and a Loyola Ramblers men’s basketball season ticket holder. He also enjoys traveling and recently took a road trip across the southwestern U.S. on the 2,448-mile, historic Route 66.
