Members of the Rockford Area REALTORS® (RAR) showed their generosity and support for community members-in-need this holiday season.

REALTORS® Give Back graphic with Christmas decorationsThey collected nearly 950 cold-weather items and distributed them equally between three local charities as part of an annual “Share the Warmth” event organized by state Rep. Maurice West II of Rockford (67th District). REALTORS®, affiliate members and constituents across the Rock River Valley collected nearly 28 boxes of hats, gloves, socks, scarves, sweaters, coats and blankets as part of the project and distributed them to Carpenters Place, the Rockford Rescue Mission and Shelter Care Ministries.

Illinois REALTORS® Governmental Affairs Director Neeley Erickson and State Legislative Contact Carl Wasco were instrumental in setting up the project.

The Rockford Area REALTORS® are led by CEO Conor Brown, President Jerry Gibson, President-elect Brad Marinelli, Treasurer Ginger Sreenan and Immediate Past President Rose Schlickman. RAR serves 869 members.
