Tracey Royal isn’t about to let the COVID-19 pandemic discourage her from serving consumers or advocating for the rights of private property owners.
The president and designated managing broker of Team Real Estate Services in Oak Park is one of six REALTORS® who are slated to join the 2021 Illinois REALTORS® Board of Directors at the end of the Fall Business Meetings next week.
“I want to serve on the Illinois REALTORS® Board of Directors because our industry is and will continue facing challenging times,” says Royal. “Yet, I am believer that with challenge comes opportunity. I want to be a voice that will ensure the success of our REALTOR® members and to preserve the integrity of our industry. Also, I want to leverage my role as Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) of Illinois’ 7th Congressional District, to ensure policies are written that make sense for our industry and that will protect private property rights of homeowners.”
Royal, ABR®, is the chair of the Affordable Housing and Community Involvement Committee for Illinois REALTORS®. She is on the Chicago Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors and is the president-elect for the Women’s Council of REALTORS®-Illinois. She has served in several leadership capacities on the local level and is the Illinois REALTORS® FPC for U.S. Rep. Danny Davis of Chicago.
“I became a REALTOR® because I enjoy bringing buyers and sellers together to achieve their housing goals,” says Royal. “I continue as a REALTOR® because I want consumers and private property owners to have service beyond the transaction. That involves being a viable resource and providing solutions that are ethical and aimed toward success.”
In addition to Royal, five other members are slated to serve on the 2021 Illinois REALTORS® Board of Directors, including:
- Ayn Bartok (returning), broker-owner of All in One Real Estate Company in Harrisburg,
- Linda Dressler of RE/MAX Suburban in Schaumburg,
- Eddie Ruettiger of Baird & Warner in Plainfield,
- Matt Silver (returning), partner of Corcoran Urban Real Estate in Chicago and
- Nancy Suvarnamani, president of Century 21 SGR in Chicago.
