SB92 passed unanimously on Friday and now has moved to Gov. pat Quinn’s desk for a signature.

The bill would allow auctioneers to collaborate with real estate licensees in real estate auctions, but maintain the provision that the auctioning of real estate is a licensed activity under the Real Estate License Act.

The bill caps a successful session for IAR’s members. SB1655, which made needed changes to the state’s Real Estate License Act, and SB41, the homestead exemption bill, also sit on Quinn’s desk for signature. Other highlights are here.
