The REALTOR® Association of Northwestern Illinois (RANWIL) has hired Rockford-area REALTOR® Ginger Sreenan as association executive.

“I’ve always looked for situations where I could help others and where I could grow from the experience,” said Sreenan, who became a Rockford REALTOR® 25 years ago. “I know a lot of the people there and many have generously offered their support to me. Plus, many of the other association executives around the state have been welcoming to me, too. Although it will be a challenge, I’m really looking forward to it.”

Since June 17 she has been training with current RANWIL Account Executive Pam Borowski who officially retires Friday. As a broker for Pioneer Real Estate Services in Rockford, Sreenan will continue to work but limit her sales to Winnebago and Boone counties to avoid conflicts of interest. As part of her agreement, she’s maintaining her responsibilities with the Illinois REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and she’s limiting herself to 20 hours a week with the local association. RANWIL represents approximately 300 independent REALTORS® and affiliate members in Stephenson, Jo Daviess and Carroll counties in northwestern Illinois.

“I find that the busier I am, the more organized I am,” said Sreenan. “I don’t like anything hanging over my head.”

With the Rockford Area Association of REALTORS® she has served on numerous committees, its board of directors and its leadership team, becoming president in 2007. She’s also a past president of the Rockford chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®.

With NAR, Sreenan assists Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) Ed Neaves as part of the contact team for Rep. Adam Kinzinger and assists FPC David Levin as part of the contact team for Rep. Cheri Bustos. Sreenan is a former FPC, has served on several NAR committees and is one seven at-large NAR directors.

With Illinois REALTORS®, she is the State Legislative Contact for state Sen. Steve Stadelman of the 34th District and was a Sterling “R” Major Investor for the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC) in 2018. Since 2015, she’s served of committees regarding government affairs, political involvement, professional development, professional standards, housing and leadership development. She also served on the Illinois Bicentennial Task Force. She has been on the Illinois REALTORS® Board of Directors since 2015 and is slated to start a new three-year term.
