A study recently released by Collateral Analytics showed that for-sale-by-owners (FSBOs) got “significantly lower” prices for their homes than those sold through real estate agents using multiple listing services, reports REALTOR® Magazine.

The study, titled “Saving Real Estate Commissions at Any Price,” was conducted from 2016 through the first half of 2017.

The difference between homes sold by FSBO and those sold by real estate professionals, was near 6 percent, or “remarkably close to average commission rates,” according to the study. Find out more about Collateral Analytics.
