Applications and related documents are due April 1 for eight types of scholarships offered by the Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF) for the 2023-2024 school year.
Two scholarships are for Illinois residents who are children or grandchildren of: REALTORS®, REALTOR® associates in good standing or employees of local Illinois REALTOR® associations, the Illinois REALTORS® or the National Association of REALTORS®. Those scholarships are:

the James M. Kinney Scholarship for college-bound students; and

the Parker R. Oldenettel Scholarship for students interested in trade, craft or technician careers.
Other scholarships with April 1 deadlines may be designed for specific circumstances:

the Academic Scholarship is for students preparing for real estate careers at accredited colleges or universities in Illinois.

The Daniel L. Goodwin Scholarship is for college-bound Illinois residents who won a Youth of the Year Award from a local Boys and Girls Club.

The George Patt Scholarship is for college-bound veterans seeking real estate careers.

The Morgan L. Fitch Scholarship is for full-time University of Illinois students pursuing careers in real estate or a related field. Applicants must be Illinois residents and U.S. citizens.

The Richard “Dick” Wiegers Scholarship is for college-bound Illinois residents aiming for careers in business, law or finance.

The Thomas F. Seay Scholarship is for college-bound Illinois residents pursuing careers in real estate. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and have proof of acceptance at accredited college or university in the U.S., too.
Since the year 2000, REEF has awarded 1,267 scholarships worth a total of $925,650. Want to know more?
