The Illinois Association of REALTORS® (IAR) will hold the first in a series of meetings with members of Illinois’ Congressional delegation this Wednesday, Aug. 7 with Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) in Woodridge. The Let’s Talk Real Estate meetings will allow REALTORS® to discuss key issues currently active in Congress that affect the real estate industry, and talk about what’s happening in their real estate markets. Questions and answers will be led by Illinois REALTOR® Jeff Gregory, Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) to Congressman Foster.
IAR fights for private property rights at the local, state and federal level. Among issues
that the association’s advocates and membership are tracking this year include the Marketplace Fairness Act, Mortgage Interest Deduction, Rural Housing Programs and Qualified Residential Mortgage (QRM) rule.
