Construction crews began the installation of towers Thursday morning at the Bicentennial Plaza — a REALTOR® Community Partnership just north of the Illinois REALTORS® headquarters in downtown Springfield.

The towers on the west side of the Bicentennial Plaza, adjacent to the Illinois REALTORS® Fair Housing monument will be installed first. A total of 16 towers will be spread out across the plaza, each holding an interpretative historical panel and providing the framework for lights.

The park is scheduled for dedication on Aug. 26.
