Illinois REALTORS® are using a combination of methods, from campaign mail to live and automated phone calls to digital advertising to urge registered voters to re-elect Rep. Mark Batinick of Plainfield and Rep. Sam Yingling of Round Lake Beach.
Both Batinick and Yingling are receiving independent expenditure and opportunity race support from Illinois REALTORS® for the Nov. 6 election. Independent expenditure activities from the Illinois REALTORS® Fund take place in support of candidates for public office without any coordination with the candidates or the candidates’ campaigns. Because RPAC Trustees have identified each as pro-business and pro-private property rights who back policies promoting economic growth and lower taxes, they are considered REALTOR® Champions and receive opportunity race support, too.
Batinick, of RE/MAX Professionals Select in Naperville, has been a REALTOR® since 2001. He represents constituents in the 97th District, which includes all or parts of Shorewood, Plainfield and Oswego.
Initially elected in 2014, he serves on several committees: Appropriations – Higher Education; Business Occupational Licenses; Elementary Secondary Education School Curriculum Policies; Insurance; Veterans Affairs; and Environment. His opponent is Democratic candidate Mica Freeman.
