Members of the Champaign County Association of REALTORS® (CCAR) made sure members of the Carle Hospital COVID-19 Testing Site in Champaign knew they were appreciated this summer as the COVID-19 pandemic continued.

CCAR President Julie Roth and Governmental Affairs Chair Jayme Ahlden Fay delivered 50 candy bars to staff members at Carle and expressed gratitude for their dedication and courage during the pandemic.

The gift box was decorated in a superhero theme by Gabby Peppers of Illini Homes.

“They were excited to receive the candy bars,” said Fay. “And they appreciated the thought behind our gesture.”

CCAR raised more than $1,000 by participating in the RPAC Hearts for Healthcare Challenge. REALTORS® across the state combined to raise more than $9,500 for RPAC. With every $20 donation to the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) during the challenge, CCAR received a specially branded candy bar from Illinois REALTORS®.

CCAR was founded in 1917 and is led by CEO Linda Green. The 2020 officers include: President Roth of Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group in Champaign, President-Elect Liz McDonald of The McDonald Group in Champaign, Secretary-Treasurer Stefanie Pratt of Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group in Champaign and Immediate Past President Eric Porter of RE/MAX Realty Associates in Champaign. The association is an advocate for homeownership and private property rights. It represents more than 500 members.
