The Greater Gateway Association of REALTORS® (GGAR) gave back to the community again this year by sharing a total of $4,543 with 11 local food pantries.
“I’m so proud to be part of an organization that combines so many giving people with such a worthwhile cause,” said GGAR President Laurie Moore.
The pantries used the donations to help prepare food baskets during the holiday season. The following organizations received $450 each from GGAR:
- Bond County Food Pantry,
- Collinsville Food Pantry,
- Community Hope Center (Cottage Hills),
- Crisis Food Center (Alton),
- Highland Food Pantry,
- Litchfield Food Pantry,
- Livingston Park District,
- Maryville Food Pantry,
- Ministries Unlimited (Troy),
- New Creation Food Pantry (Granite City) and
- Staunton Helping Hands.
GGAR raised money for the donations through the Taste of GGAR in September. The association’s 2019 leaders include: Moore; President-elect Rick Lauschke; Treasurer Elaine Rhodes; Immediate Past President Mark Massey; and Association Executive Kyle Anderson.
GGAR serves more than 1,100 REALTORS® and affiliate business partners in the southwestern Illinois region including the counties of Bond, Calhoun, Jersey, Macoupin and Madison. The association strives to provide resources, advocacy and education for a diverse community of professionals and is dedicated to the highest standards of service in a changing real estate market.
