The Illinois REALTORS® announced its 2019 leadership team of President-elect Ed Neaves of Bloomington, Treasurer Sue Miller of McHenry and Immediate Past President Matt Difanis of Mahomet. The officers and the 2019 Board of Directors were elected Thursday during the association’s Fall Business Meetings at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center in Lombard.

Dan Wagner resigned from the association’s leadership team this summer before he began his term as president. The Illinois REALTORS® Board of Directors voted to keep the position of president vacant in 2019 and divide the duties of the office among the rest of the leadership team.

- President-elect Ed Neaves is the managing broker of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Snyder Real Estate in Bloomington. Licensed in real estate since 1976, he has served as president of the Bloomington-Normal Association of REALTORS®, was honored as its REALTOR® of the Year in 2011 and was awarded its Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. He serves on the Illinois REALTORS®’ Board of Directors, has chaired a number of working groups and committees and in 2015, was honored for his political leadership with the Illinois REALTORS® Political Involvement Award. He is the Federal Political Coordinator for U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger and is among an elite group of REALTORS® nationwide who have been inducted into the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) Hall of Fame for lifetime contributions of at least $25,000. Neaves is also actively involved at the national level with the National Association of REALTORS®.
- Treasurer Sue Miller, ABR, BPOR, CRB, CRS, GRI, ePro, PMN, SFR, SRS, is the managing broker of Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group in McHenry. Licensed in real estate since 1987, Miller is a member of the Heartland REALTOR® Organization in McHenry County. She served two terms as president of her local association and was twice named its local REALTOR® of the year. She is the past president of the Lakes Area REALTORS® Association serving southeastern Wisconsin. At the state level she has been involved in a number of working groups and committees, served multiple terms as chair of the Education Working Group and is a long-time member of the Real Estate Educational Foundation’s board of directors. In 2017, Miller was honored as the statewide Illinois REALTOR® of the Year. She has also been honored with the Illinois REALTORS® Distinguished Service Award. She is actively involved at the national level with the National Association of REALTORS®.
- Immediate Past President Matt Difanis, ABR, CIPS, GRI, is a co-owner of RE/MAX Realty Associates, with offices in Champaign, Mahomet and Monticello. He took his real estate pre-licensing coursework in 1998 while still an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, worked full-time as a REALTOR® while attending the University of Illinois College of Law and chose to remain in the real estate industry after earning his Juris Doctor degree. Difanis is a past president of the Champaign County Association of REALTORS® and was honored as its REALTOR® of the Year in 2013. He was in REALTOR® Magazine’s 2004 Class of “30 Under 30” and was named Central Illinois Business Magazine’s “Forty Under 40” Man of the Year in 2015. Difanis led the state association in 2018 and is actively involved at the national level with the National Association of REALTORS®.
