The variety of brokerages and business models has helped residential real estate customers get the services they need at competitive prices, says the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
Katie Johnson, NAR general counsel, made that assertion last week in a letter to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the US Department of Justice (DOJ). With a 10-year agreement between the DOJ and NAR set to expire in October, the FTC and the DOJ are assessing the competitiveness of the real estate market.
“The National Association of REALTORS® is confident that the real estate industry is highly competitive …” Johnson wrote. See the entire letter.
