A downloadable brochure that provides advice for at-risk homeowners facing economic stress caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic has been developed by the National Association of REALTORS®.
“Protect Your Investment: A Guide for At-risk Homeowners,” advises consumers to talk to their lenders regarding possible repayment plans; explains loan modifications and gives examples of scams to avoid during the crisis. The guide also provides a phone number and a website for the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which lists of non-profit counseling agencies that can help consumers avoid foreclosure.
