NAR directors from the Illinois Association of REALTORS® get ready for the 2013 board meeting in Washington, D.C., on May 17, 2013.

Hundreds of delegates from across the nation are meeting this morning (May 18, 2013) as part of the National Association of REALTORS®’ Board of Directors meeting.

The gathering, held as part of the Midyear meetings in Washington, D.C., has a full agenda, including voting for a person who ultimately will become president of the    organization. The voting for candidates Tom Salomone and Jim Helsel will be at the beginning of the meeting, and the results will be announced toward the end.

In a first order of business, John Kmiecik, an Illinois Association of REALTORS® member and 2010 REALTOR® of the Year was elected Region 7 vice president.
