About the speakers:
Tracey Royal: Royal, ABR®, is a seasoned real estate professional with 23 years in the business and says “I still love what I do!” She is the Managing Broker Associate of Coldwell Banker Realty Oak Park, and is the past chair of the Affordable Housing and Community Involvement Committee for Illinois REALTORS® and a member of the Illinois REALTORS® 2021 Board of Directors and Chicago Association of REALTORS® 2021 Board of Directors. She’s the Federal Political Coordinator for U.S. Rep. Danny Davis of Chicago, the 2021 President for the Women’s Council of REALTORS®-Illinois and has served in several leadership capacities on the local level.
Rachel Scheid: Scheid is a REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker Realty in Chicago, where she is the branch manager of their West Loop office providing marketing support, coaching and personalized attention to her agents. Rachel is a current member of our Illinois State YPN Advisory Board, a leadership development graduate, serves on the 2021 Leadership Development Working Group, and is very active with her local association, which is the Chicago Association of REALTORS®. In 2018, she was honored with Chicago Agent Magazine’s Charitable Service Award and featured in their 2019 Who’s Who in Chicagoland Residential Real Estate. Rachel is a National Association of REALTORS® 30 Under 30 Class of 2020 Award Winner.
Athena Williams: OPRHC is regarded as a leading agency for promoting fair housing rights, expansion of housing options, and equal racial access in Oak Park and surrounding West Cook County communities, including Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. Athena is a respected community organizer and activist. Formerly the Program Director for the West Cook Homeownership Center of OPRHC, she has played many advocacy roles in the community including Chicago Public School Local School Council President, Associate Director of the Monroe Foundation, and an administrative assistant to the City of Chicago 37th Ward Alderman Emma Mitts. Athena, a product of Chicago Public Schools, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and holds multiple certifications in Housing and Financial Coaching through the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation.
Meet our moderator:
Tommy Choi: Co-founder of the Weinberg Choi Residential team in 2007 with his business partner Josh Weinberg. They celebrated the opening of their own Keller Williams brokerage in January of 2017. The Weinberg Choi Residential team has sold over 1,000 properties, and over $500 million dollars in sales volume. They are consistently ranked in the top 10 real estate teams in Chicago, which puts them in the Top 1% of Chicago Association of Realtors’ top producers. Tommy also served as the 135th president of the Chicago Association of Realtors and the first Korean-American president in the association’s 135 year history. He also serves as an active member of the Illinois Realtors, and was the Chair of the National Association of Realtors’ YPN Advisory Board. In 2021, he will serve as the Vice President of Association Affairs for the National Association of Realtors.
