Illinois REALTORS® Senior Director of Advocacy Programs Gideon Blustein was sworn in as a member of the Greater Chicago Chapter of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) in March.

“AREAA-Greater Chicago is an extremely warm and welcoming industry group, with a strong focus on service, advocacy and business development,” said Blustein. “There are great intersections between Illinois REALTORS®’ advocacy agenda and AREAA-Greater Chicago’s community relationships, knowledge and reach.”

Blustein serves on AREAA-Greater Chicago’s Public Policy Committee, planning events on advocacy topics and with elected officials.

AREAA is scheduled to hold its annual national convention Oct. 12-14 at Swissotel Chicago.

In January, Blustein was elevated to senior director for Illinois REALTORS® after serving in several critical roles at the intersection of member engagement and government affairs. In this role, he leads the association’s independent expenditure program and its consumer- and member-facing advocacy campaigns. Find out more.
