The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation has released education requirements for the 2020 broker license renewal.
Education requirements for the 2020 broker license renewal are based on the broker’s original license date. If you don’t remember your original license date, use IDFPR’s Online License Lookup.

New classes are added daily. If you don’t find the course you’re looking for, check back periodically or request a notification by email.
- Online courses: Select online courses from the Illinois REALTORS® Education Store.
- Classroom courses: Find classroom courses on the Illinois REALTORS® Education Calendar.
- CE courses: Individual CE courses are available for purchase now, and 12-hour CE packages will be released for purchase before April 30, 2020.
- Sexual Harassment Prevention training: Illinois REALTORS® Licensing & Training Center currently offers a 2-hour Elective CE course: RD 981 – Sexual Harassment Prevention & Safety.
- 30-hour Post-License courses (for brokers licensed between February 1, 2018 and August 8, 2019): Broker Post-License courses for brokers licensed between February 1, 2018 and August 8, 2019 are available for purchase now.
- New 45-hour Broker Post-License (for brokers licensed between August 9, 2019 and November 1, 2019): The new post-license package required for brokers licensed between August 9, 2019 and November 1, 2019 will consist of three 15-hour courses, each with a 50-question exam. You may request to be notified when the new 45-hour course is available for purchase by providing an email address.
