As part of the first event of Capitol Conference 2022, Illinois REALTORS® hosted its first statewide Let’s Talk Real Estate Advocacy Day on Monday.
At a breakfast meeting and luncheons, more than 250 REALTORS® attended the six members-only events held around the state. During those events, members had the chance to sit down and talk with state legislators in their districts about housing issues, public policy and the impact the real estate industry has on the state’s economy and some of their communities. Illinois REALTORS® hosted Let’s Talk Real Estate events with:
State Sen. Michael Hastings, D-Dist. 19, in Orland Park
State Sen. Don DeWitte, R-Dist. 33, in Cary
State Rep. Curtis Tarver II, D-Dist. 25, in Hyde Park, Chicago
State Rep. Ryan Spain, R-Dist. 73, in Peoria
State Rep. Sandy Hamilton, R-Dist. 99, in Springfield
In Glen Carbon, pictured above, Illinois REALTORS® Governmental Affairs staff briefed members about political issues affecting their communities that might be debated in the current spring legislative session in Springfield.
More details about those issues and others will be discussed on Tuesday, March 29 at the 2022 Capitol Conference in Springfield.
