National Association of REALTORS® 2021 REALTORS® and Sustainability Report reveals homebuyers have a growing interest in eco-friendly and energy-efficient home features. NAR surveyed members in March 2021 and found that sixty-five percent of respondents said that promoting energy efficiency in their listings was valuable.

Other findings included:

• 82% of respondents said properties with solar panels were available in their market and 40% said solar panels increase the perceived property value.
• 55% of respondents found clients were at least somewhat interested in sustainability.
• 25% of respondents had clients who frequently or sometimes requested to see properties close to public transportation.
