Oak Park area REALTOR® Tracey Royal and IDFPR Division of Real Estate Acting Director Mario Treto, Jr., received Presidential Medallions from Illinois REALTORS® 2020 President Ed Neaves in September.
In today’s “REALTORS® who made a difference” blog post, they were two of several individuals recognized by Neaves for significant contributions to the association and the real estate industry during the past year.
Royal, ABR® is the president and designated managing broker of Team Real Estate Services in Oak Park, the chair of the Affordable Housing Community Involvement Committee for Illinois REALTORS® and a member of the Illinois REALTORS® 2021 Board of Directors. She’s the Federal Political Coordinator for U.S. Rep. Danny Davis of Chicago, the president-elect for the Women’s Council of REALTORS®-Illinois and has served in several leadership capacities on the local level.
Neaves commended Treto for welcoming open dialogue with real estate professionals while acting as a consumer advocate and recognizing the value of ethical, well-trained brokers, especially during the pandemic. “His commitment to fairness was never more apparent than in his willingness to speak on behalf of the industry his division regulated,” said Neaves, “so that (it) could stay open when the first Stay-at-home order was issued in March of this year.”
Others recognized by outgoing president Neaves included: Illinois REALTORS® Deputy CEO Jeff Baker, Executive Vice President Kristen Butcher, Illinois REALTORS® Senior Director of Legislative & Political Affairs Julie Sullivan, Illinois REALTORS® Vice President of Operations Len Taylor, Illinois REALTORS® General Counsel and Vice President of Legal Services Betsy Urbance and all the members of the Illinois REALTORS® staff.
