REALTORS® Sarah Ware, Matt Difanis, Nykea Pippion McGriff, Michael D. Oldenettel, Sue Miller and Doug Carpenter were awarded 2019 Presidential Medallions in September for their contributions to the association and the real estate industry.

Miller topped the list with two medallions, one for her work on the Illinois REALTORS® License Law Task Force and the other for her efforts as part of the association’s leadership team. Miller is the managing broker for Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group in McHenry and she is the 2020 president-elect for Illinois REALTORS®.

Carpenter was recognized for chairing the Illinois REALTORS® License Law Rewrite Task Force and coordinating the efforts of three subcommittees. He is managing broker for Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group in Mokena and was the 2017 Illinois REALTORS® president.

Ware earned her medallion for advocacy work against Rent Control in the state and her efforts to enhance relationships with the association’s Industry Partners. She is principal and managing broker for Ware Realty Group LLC in Chicago.

Difanis was recognized for his leadership in the wake of a sudden Illinois REALTORS® executive team departure. He is the managing broker/owner of RE/MAX Realty Associates in Champaign. He’s the association’s immediate past president.

McGriff received praise for chairing a subcommittee of the License Law Rewrite Task Force which examined regulation and enforcement issues. She is a broker for Dream Town Realty in Chicago.

Oldenettel was honored for his work leading a subcommittee of the License Law Rewrite Task Force that examined business issues and enhanced the Real Estate License Act by increasing professionalism.
