The sixth episode of the Illinois REALTORS® Real Estate License Act (RELA) Legal Update Web Series covers a variety of changes to the license act that REALTOR® members could find informative.
Among the RELA changes explained in “Miscellaneous (login required)” are:
- Increasing allowable entitles for receiving compensation
- Creating a citation process for continuing education violations
- Adding continuing education subjects
- Renaming “leasing agents” as “residential leasing agents”
- Prohibiting unlicensed personal assistants from real estate licensed activities and
- Banning some criminal history from being used against aspiring brokers
