Course Requirements
This online, 24-hour CE package has two self-guided sections with reading, videos, case studies, and quizzes to show student participation and proficiency. All materials for this course are on the D2L portal. Consecutive course modules open as content is accessed and quizzes are completed, scoring 75%, or higher, on each to complete the course. Students can complete everything from their home or office with the unique features of the D2L system.
A webcam and microphone are NOT required for online courses.
Course Delivery
D2L online courses are NOT accessed through Illinois REALTORS® website.
Within an hour, you will receive an email from EIU ([email protected]) which contains your login credentials for the course materials and link to the course. This email is automated from EIU 24 hours a day.

Course Contents
Illinois REALTORS® 12-hour BME 1805 provides managing brokers updated materials from the 2019/2020 IDFPR license law changes. Modules include RELA 2000 changes, supervision & oversight updates as well as office policy & procedures information. (Mandatory 12-hour – 564003535)
12-hour CE packages include:
- COR 1901 – Illinois Core CE provides licensees with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect consumers, enhance the professionalism of the real estate brokerage industry, and prevent violations of the Real Estate License Act of 2000. (Mandatory 4-hour – 564003355)
- RD 981 – Sexual Harassment Prevention & Safety is designed to meet the requirements of sexual harassment prevention training required for all IDFPR licensees. In addition, it provides the student with information and training for safe interaction with the public in real estate transactions. (Elective 2-hour – 564003349)
- ETH 1535 provides the real estate licensee with an understanding to apply the Code of Ethics in the practice of real estate brokerage, and satisfies the NAR Ethics training requirement. The 2019 & 2020 changes to the COE requirement and MLS changes are also discussed. (Elective 3-hour – 564003385 + NAR COE Credit)

- APP 504 – Understanding Real Estate Appraisals is designed to inform and assist real estate licensees to better understand the appraisal process in residential real estate transactions. (Elective 3-hour – 564003415)
- COM 1003 – 411 on Commercial Real Estate offers an introduction to the complexity of commercial real estate transactions, you will enjoy this 3-hour video course in conversational format. (Elective 3-hour – 564003340)
- FI 1103 – Property Taxes in Illinois explains, in general terms, the main components of the Illinois property tax system and the people or agencies responsible for administering those components. (Elective 3-hour – 564003267)
- FM 803- Farm Brokerage & Management is an introduction to the basic principles and concepts involved in farm brokerage and farm property management. The purpose is to provide real estate licensees a better understanding of farm brokerage and farm management in an interactive format. Like other real estate niches, farm brokerage can be rewarding, but nuanced and the licensee must have the expertise to best represent their clients. (Elective 3-hour – 564003408)
